AMPHIBIA

The “Amphibia” watches, introduced in 1967 by the Vostok watch factory, are iconic Russian-made diving watches designed for active individuals. With a steel case capable of withstanding depths of up to 200 meters, they became popular among military divers and underwater workers. Named after amphibians for their ability to thrive both on land and in water, these watches featured unique engineering solutions to improve water resistance, leading to revisions in international diving standards. In 1975, “Amphibia” watches were even worn in space on the “Soyuz-17” mission. Today, they remain legendary for their durability and precision, with a variety of designs to suit different styles. Still favored by divers, special forces, and adventurers worldwide, they are known for their waterproof case, luminous hands, and reliable mechanics.

KOMANDIRSKIE

The “Komandirskie” watches were created in 1965 as official timepieces for the Soviet Ministry of Defense. Initially designed as award watches for military officers, these timepieces featured water resistance, shock resistance, and temperature durability. They quickly earned a reputation for reliability and precision under tough conditions. By the late 1980s, they were exported to the West as “Russian Military Watch.” Despite counterfeit versions appearing in the 1990s, the original quality has been preserved in modern models, which now feature bold designs and larger case sizes, making them a symbol of contemporary men’s style.

VOSTOK

The “Vostok” brand, founded in 1943, initially produced the USSR’s first civilian wristwatches during World War II. In 1957, the brand released precision watches, winning a gold medal at the 1968 Leipzig exhibition. Known for their shockproof mechanisms, “Vostok” watches could operate two second hands and featured elegant convex lenses. The brand became popular for its durability, making it ideal for athletes, hunters, and fishermen who needed watches resistant to water, mud, and extreme temperatures. Today, “Vostok” remains a renowned brand for mechanical watches, still appreciated both in Russia and internationally.
